A. Lange & Söhne - 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst

To celebrate the 200th birthday of its founder, Ferdinand Adolph Lange, German luxury watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne has introduced the 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst.

It is the Saxon-based manufacture's fifth edition to the Handwerkskunst (German for "artisanship") family of timepieces. These timepieces are praised for their refined movement design, finishing techniques and unusual decorative methods in engraving.

Limited to only 30 pieces worldwide, the end-of-the-year debut features a black-rhodiumed rose gold dial decorated with elegant tremblage engraving and a granular surface. The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched reddish-brown alligator strap with deployant buckle in matching 18K rose gold.

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst comes with a price tag of $181,000 USD. It will be on display at the 2016 Salon of Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva.
